Dear Castle Hill Middle School family,
With extensive feedback from families, staff, and students, we are implementing a new cell phone policy this year. Beginning Monday, during morning homeroom students will put their phone in a baggie with their name on it, and the phones will be kept in a locked safe in every homeroom for the day. Phones will be returned during afternoon homeroom.
This policy will prepare students for high school, many of which also collect phones at the beginning of the day. This school policy will help reduce distractions for students, as well as keep phones secure during the day. If you need to reach your child during the day, you may contact the school at (718) 892-8600, and dial 01 for the main office.
