From our Principal

As the year draws to a close, I want to thank you for all you have done to come together as a community and a family. When the year began, we had no idea of the unprecedented challenges that faced us, nor of the grief and struggle we would endure.

The new pandemic of COVID 19, and the old pandemic of systemic racism in our country have tested our strength and resilience. I sincerely hope that you have found support and comfort in our school community. I truly look forward to being able to come together in real life and see u all again.

We do not know what September will bring. Students and families, I strongly encourage you to complete the reopening surveys: Return to School Family Survey and the Return to School Student Survey. This is an opportunity for your voice to be heard about how we should reopen.

Those of you who are participating in summer learning, please take a moment and log into your ILearnNYC Account by the close of business tomorrow, June 24th.  A very useful powerpoint with directions and a video tutorial about signing in can be found in your child's Google classroom.

I hope you will all join us to watch graduation on Thursday at 4 - I will share the link closer to the day.

Sincerely,

Harry Sherman, Principal
